This story had all the basic elements, heroes, villians, plot, and resolution, and for the most part, fulfilled its role to entertain the reader. I'm a huge fan of shifters, so I really looked forward to reading. Although I enjoyed most of the book, I felt that the characters needed to be hashed out a bit, as dI'd the plot. We know our heroine is blonde. We aren't given too much description about what are male looks like othe than he's ripped. We also know that he's a king, yet he travels alone with his mate, no guards or anything. Yes she has to have an entourage when she goes out alone. Makes no sense. What about the other characters? Why is there this dire need on the part of the Litchfields to take over the protagonist's territory? And what is with transformation at the end? How is that even possible, especially given that there are other human mates? I know at least one of them also had cubs. Why did she not transform too? There was simply not enough explanation. All in all, I liked the book. I just felt like it could have been written in a way that would have given readers a better understanding of the situation and characters involved.Product details

I loved this book I can't wait to read the others. I loved how the new magic made her able to have cubs and become a she-panther. The kidnapping she went through when she first found out she was pregnant was scary but it worked out perfectly good
With the shift in power and magic changing how Cadence and Case meet the challenges facing them? I enjoyed reading this book very much. I would recommend it to anyone who likes sexy strong shifter males and the woman who love them. This is a standalone story with a HEA ending.
Cadence is Case's mate. They are on their way Home when Cadence decides she can't wait to be close to Case. They arrive home and cadence is kidnapped by Hayden. Hayden arranges for a wedding ceremony because Case hasn't married her. Hayden waited to kidnap her until she was pregnant with Case's babies. Hayden wants to marry her so he can take all of Case's land and tribe. Excellently written, I couldn't put it down.
